About Us

Hello! I'm Rachel Alethea - designer and illustrator, and big sister of this duo. I love coffee, doodle obsessivley and listen to way more podcasts than I care to admit to. I just moved to Seattle with my husband and love exploring our new home city!

Hi! I'm Rebecca Ruth - creative writer and illustrator, and little sister of this duo. I recently graduated, got married and moved into the cutest little craftsman bungalo in southern California. I love vintage ephemera, dream of someday having a library in my home and wish I could spend my whole day drawing and sewing.

{from ruth} Hideaway

When I found these pictures of tents I was reminded of my own fort-making days as a little girl. I would use all of the afghans in the house and drape them over the chairs in the living room so that my mom couldn’t get through the room. Time for a grown-up version of the blanket fort!

Every child dreams of a secret spot—somewhere to keep treasures, where no one can find you as you whittle away indulgent hours of dreaming. The grown up little girl in me wants to sail away on this enchanted tent-boat with a stock of Jane Austen books, Pellegrino, and macaroons.

Finally, the perfect indoor spot for curling up with Alice, the Welsh Springer I would most definitely have if I could live in such a place, and drinking coffee while browsing my growing list of inspirations online.
